ARTISTIC & MUSIC DIRECTOR

Steve McBride (Music Director/Conductor) holds a Bachelor of Music in music Education from West Chester University and a Master of Music from Westmintser Choir College. Since 2000, Mr. McBride has been involved with creating and directing educational summer theatre programs. He has worked on over 50 musicals as Music Director, Vocal Director, and Pianist in schools, community theatres and non-equity theatres. Most recently as Music Director for RCP’s The Prom(WATCH Award Winner: Outstanding Music Director) and Fiddler on the Roof. Credits include Encore’s Freaky Fridayand The Sound of Music, as well as Sister Act (LTA), Into the Woods (RMT) and My Fair Lady (HHS). This July, he returns for his third season as Music Director with Encore Stage and Studio and their production of Footloose. Sincecoming to the DC Metro area, Steve has become in demand as a vocal coach, accompanist, and conductor. Mr. McBride is also the Choral Director at Langston Hughes Middle School (FCPS), Reston VA and Organist/Pianist at Clarendon UMC, Arlington, VA.
DIRECTOR
Elizabeth Becker (Director) is in her 11th year as Director of Theatre Arts at Falls Church High School and in her 18th year of teaching with FCPS. She has a Bachelor of arts in Theatre from Missouri State University, a Master of Arts from Virginia Theological Seminary and a Master of Theatre Studies in scenic production and design from Southern Oregon University. Beth has performed in ten different countries in Europe and in three languages (German, Swedish and English). She spent her first year teaching Theatre Arts to Arab students in Manama, Bahrain, and directed their first ever English speaking production Our Miss Brooks. Since then, she has directed countless productions both with FCPS and in community theatres and camps.
CHOREOGRAPHER
Stacey Yvonne Claytor is the proud Founder and CEO of C4 Performing Arts School in Fairfax, VA and Artistic Director of Claytor Company, a professional dance company under the C4 umbrella. Stacey is a passionate and dedicated performing artist, arts educator and arts advocate whose work has carried her from classrooms to great performance venues around the world. Stacey studied at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in New York, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theater and Dance from James Madison University and a Master of Fine Arts degree from The George Washington University. When asked in a 2013 interview, why she chose to be an artist, Ms. Claytor answered simply, “I am an artist…why, because it is my joy, it is my peace, it liberates and sustains me.”
VOCAL COACH
Christina Boosahda holds a B.M. in Voice Performance from Ithaca College (Ithaca, NY) and a M.M. in Voice Performance from the University Of Houston, Moores School of Music. Ms. Boosahda has a passion for singing and performing, as well as teaching and passing on her knowledge of the voice and performing to budding artists of all ages. As a performer, Ms. Boosahda has had the privilege of being featured in a number of roles throughout her career on both the musical theater and operatic stages. Musical theater highlights include: Mrs. Anderseen in Sondheim’s A Little Night Music, The Baker’s Wife in Sondheim’s Into the Woods, Fantine in Les Miserables (which gave me the opportunity to sing Fantine’s famous song, “I Dreamed a Dream” at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, as well as on a vocal arts special of C-SPAN, taped at the Newseum in Washington, DC), and Ensemble in Sondheim’s Sweeney Todd. She loves both performing and teaching, and frequently works with local high schools as a vocal coach for their cabarets, and musicals. Most notably she worked with South Lakes High School on their broadway night performances, and both of their CAPPIE and BVD Award winning musicals (Crazy for you and Bright Star).
VOCAL COACH
Rita Gigliotti is the owner of Melodia Studio in Fairfax County, Virginia and offers K-12 families private voice lessons, mentorship, and exclusive access to industry events. She also teaches undergrad and graduate courses at George Mason University for the Music for Well-Being Program while completing her Doctorate in Music Education. Ms. Gigliotti’s mission is to inspire others to discover the transformative power of music in fostering connection, resilience, and well-being. While serving as Choral Director of South Lakes High School in Reston, VA, she led multiple award-winning choirs who consistently earned superior ratings at state and national assessments. While not working with students, she is with performing arts educators, helping them integrate wellness practices into their teaching to sustain their passion for music education.
